It may have been Thursday, but it was a giant sundae!

The Ignite Youth Club at Christ Church were busy making 2 giant ice cream sundaes recently. Using a 3 metre long half depth drain pipe, they made a mouth watering creation, loaded with marshmallows, sprinkles and sauce. The sparklers were lit for a moment, before they all tucked in! There are two Ignite groups meeting on Thursday nights at the Youth Hub. Year 6,7 & 8 from 6.30-7.45, and then the older group Ignite + (year 9+) meet 8-9.15pm.

Other activities this term have included a curry night and a chip shop survey and one of the local PCSOs popped in to say hello too. Christ Church Youth Hub, located at the back of Christ Church Parish Hall, is a great, safe place for young people to meet up.

As well as the popular Thursday night Ignite groups, the Youth Hub is open on Fridays for an after school drop in 3.15-4.30pm, and this term we have started Youth Alpha at “Elev8” on Tuesdays 6.30-7.45pm. A challenge to investigate the meaning of life, where no questions are off limits, served up with games and puddings!
