Ignite does the Toilet Twinning Challenge

Target Reached!

A big THANK YOU to all of you!

What an amazing result for the Toilet Twinning Challenge. We have reached our target and more...

The Sunday Panto cake sale raised some too, then there were donations from the Open Church Group who serve coffees and cakes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the monthly Tuesday night Christ Church Fellowship group.

£780 has been raised which means we can twin all the toilets at Christ Church, and all the toilets in the Youth Hub, Parish Hall and at the Church Centre, Quakers Road.

Here’s the thing... 2.4 billion people don’t have somewhere safe, clean and hygienic to go to the toilet. That’s more than a third of the people on the planet. By twinning our church toilets, we can help those in desperate poverty to have access to a proper latrine, clean running water and the information they need to be healthy. Toilets will now be twinned across three continents, in the countries; Uganda, India, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Philippines and Guatemala.
