A big THANK-YOU to the young people from Christ Church Downend Youth Groups!

The Wednesday Elev8 and Elev8+ groups for braving the wind, rain, hail and sleet in joining the carol singers outside Pendennis flats in Staple Hill. Nobody hit a wrong-note, despite being soaked through!

The following day, the younger Thursday Ignite Youth Group and their youth leaders went along to Britannia Court in Downend to share carols with the residents there. This was the fourth year running for this event and a great time was had by the young people and the young-at-heart! Thank you Britannia Court!

Then on December 21st, the older Thursday Ignite Youth Group put on their elf-ears and joined Downend Round Table’s Santa’s sleigh around the streets of Mangotsfield and Emerson’s Green. It was a great night, raising money for many good causes; so a big shout-out to Downend Round Table!
